A bench is often thought of as a place to wait from airport seating through shopping malls to the doctors’ office.
It also creates moments of free time that people use to read old magazines, newspapers, brochures or whatever happens to be at hand.
For me, this idea led to the realization that these things could be combined.
A bench that holds books for display, to be read, and more.
For that purpose, the Book Bench utilizes the different sized slots to store books and bookmark the page you left off at.
The aesthetic of the bench could be altered through the assortment of books by its cover, length, and thickness.
